Workshop Theme
Public sector real property developers are often challenged with meeting conflicting demands. They must deliver high quality to the clients/tenants within limited budgets and stringent efficiency requirements, whilst simultaneously contributing towards meeting social objectives in a constructive manner. This requires a high degree of competency, efficient management and transparent processes that are open to participation.
Efforts should be made to resolve these issues when the degree of influence is at its highest and when it is easier to avoid unwanted impacts. We invite you to take a closer look at the importance of the feasibility study and concept phase with regard to the following topics:
-
choosing the ”right” concept
-
achieving good project management
-
how to ensure a positive impact on the environment
-
utilizing the potential inherent in culture and cultural heritage for the purposes of economic growth and adding value
-
how to contribute to developing urban quality
The workshop includes site visits to areas and buildings that exemplify the above, and keynote speakers from universities, ministries and organizations in the public sector will give us their unique views on the conference theme. As always, the programme will present participants with opportunities for dialogue and to share experiences through panel discussions and facilitated breakout groups.
